Favourite Speeches

This blog post has been planned for a long time and doesn't really have that much input from me. This blog post just contains two of my favourite speeches, in the order I discovered them.   The first one is from the show Doctor Who, which I have mentioned earlier as one of my most like TV shows. The protagonist, the Doctor, is an alien, though looking human. Every time a member of their species is about to die, their body "regenerates" in which they change their body and personality, still having the memories. This is the speech the 12th incarnation says before regenerating. It all just disappears doesn't it? Everything you are, gone in a moment like breath on a mirror. Any moment now, he’s a coming, The Doctor and I always will be. But times change and so must I. We all change, when you think about it. We are all different people all through our lives and that's okay, that's good you've got to keep moving so long as you remember all the people ...

Slam Book

6-year-old me enters a book shop, mesmerised. Surrounded by book shelves filled with the things I love, I quickly ran up to one that interested me. It said Slam Book at the top, whatever that meant. It was filled with different questions. How interesting! You could answer the whole book filled with different questions on every page, and it could be like an encyclopaedia about you! Or so my self centered brain thought. Turns out, it's just the same questions repeated again and again, and  other  people are supposed to fill it, like your classmates when you're leaving school so that you can look back on the MeMoRIeS later on. My disappointment was immeasurable and my day was ruined. Four years pass. I get an idea. Why not fill a slam book, but you answer the questions intended for each person yourself, with a regular gap in time between them, so that you can see how you change over time? Like a diary for lazy people. I followed through. Wrote every month. But only two time...

..Oops

Sorry for not posting for so long. Still have no idea what I'm going to post..so here's a short update of my life. There is a beautiful  Sahajayoga qawwali video coming up, Diwali was epic as usual, new BTS album, and related zoom party with a fan friend is coming up, Enola Holmes is a freaking amazing movie,(They made Sherlock likeable?) and my plans to study during the Diwali holidays were sabotaged by the common cold. Not  the other virus, btw. Also, Isabella is getting naughtier day by day? What did I ever do to her? Did she really had to take after her mother, and not the more well behaved Fluffy? Cutie is going out more these days..guess that's compensation for the couch potato (blanket potato?) phase she had earlier.. This turned into a more ramble of my thoughts rather than an update of my life, but I guess that's more entertaining.. In the end, of this blog post which I guess suddenly turned into a speech? I would like to say that if you're going outside, ...

Sonder

"the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own." - The Dictionary Of Obscure Sorrows I first experienced sonder while walking on a street in Bhootnath. Anyone who has walked in the market must know the chaos as you briskly walk through the people, portable shops, cars, bikes, rickshaws, and autos on the road. I was holding hands with my father, as one does in order to not get lost in an Indian marketplace.  That was the first time I experienced sonder . Everyone around me, the girl with the ice cream in her hand, that uncle in the  blue shirt, that shopkeeper, that didi, had a life as strange and intricate as I did. If not more, I was younger than most of them. I felt a chill down my spine. I have experienced it many more times. You look around and realize that everyone is as special and unique as you. Sometimes, it feels as if time stops. Today, I watched a documentary by the youtuber austinmcconnell , consisting of the v...

Stuff I have learned in this short life so far~

Don't have expectations. Take life as it comes. Be kind. Gratitude is the only thing that guarantees happiness. Don't hate. Don't give that kind of negativity a home in you. You can strive for your goals while enjoying the journey. In today's busy modern world, it's very easy to get into the 'hustle' mentality, it's very easy to get into the "If I'm not working I'm wasting time."mentality. Not. True. Beauty standards are literally the most shallow and temporary thing ever. In the west, people get surgery for squarer jawlines, in the east, for rounder. Don't judge yourself by them. Forgive, but don't forget. You cannot make everybody happy. That's it. Like I said, it's a short life I have had. I'm really sorry for the late post, I'm already running out of ideas to write about. Feel free to give your suggestions in the comments~

Finally met my Balshakti gang

I have two environments where I have friends. In school, and in the Sahajayoga centre. It is a meditation technique for those who don't know. We are making a video of a bhajan for Navratri, and just a few days ago, I met a lot of my friends for practice. We call the kids in Sahajayoga balshakti, btw. We talked and giggled and ran around. It was very fun and very much wished for, for a long time. I remember my father holding me in his arms and spinning me around when I was little. I definitely remember how much I loved it. My favourite thing about meeting them was that now I'm big and strong enough to pick up my younger friends (10 or younger) and spin them around. I love seeing the grins and laughter in their faces.  Don't worry, I do it safely, the same way my father used to. This was  a relatively small post for my blog, but I hope you still like it.

Poem or song

It is the weekend so I might as well post. A few months ago, I wrote something which, uh, well, wasn't a story. It was a poem or song. Yesterday, I wrote another one. Am I really supposed to be breaking something now? cuz the only things thats breaking these days is my head I wake up at 8, actually waking up at two Sleepily attending all my classes from hindi to history.. But i think teens need more hours of sleep than six, don't you? Am i really even trying my best at this point? its a mystery.. I guess this is my high school life now.. is there even any use being sad? is there anything else covid and school will allow? well, at least my birthday was rad.. I procrastinate a bit, doing homework and studying for tests Which seem neverending, just like my desire to quit I feel like I'm tired of living, just sleeping and eating, When a...
